Team 73 delivered the landscape design for Hoi Fai Road Park — a transformative urban regeneration project that repurposed a former bus terminus site adjacent to the Olympic MTR Station into a vibrant, inclusive public open space for the Tai Kok Tsui community.
Working under the commission of the Architectural Services Department (ArchSD), our team was responsible for the comprehensive landscape and outdoor environment design, encompassing a themed playscape, jogging track, tai chi area, fitness corners, and richly planted sitting-out gardens. The design concept draws inspiration from the Olympic spirit, weaving dynamic graphics, landform play, and colourful installations — including anamorphic flame motifs and 3D typographic art — into a cohesive park identity that resonates with the site’s landmark location.
Central to the design brief was the integration of renewable energy technologies, including photovoltaic panels, hybrid solar-wind pole lights, and solar-powered bollard lighting, enhancing the park’s sustainability performance. Inclusive design principles were embedded throughout, with play equipment and facilities catering to users of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
The completed park now serves as a seamless green connector, linking Hoi Fai Road Promenade and surrounding open spaces into a continuous, people-centred waterfront leisure network.
